What I got in America

As you may know, I went to America last month on a family holiday. We went round all the theme parks and also had a few shopping days which I loved! We went to an American Mall which I found amazing, although I didn’t find it that much cheaper from English shopping centres which was a bit disappointing. However, I did visit a Bath and Bodyworks shop which was fab! I really wanted to get this three wick candle, although I decided in the end that I wanted to spend my dollars on other things. I regret that choice now and really wish I had gotten it for my uni room next year – It smelt so good! I also loved the fact that you could smell the shop from like three stores down, haha! It’s a shame they don’t ship to the UK or have any shops in the UK, as I would have loved to purchase that candle. The candle was Mahogany Teakwood and I cannot really describe the smell other than the fact that it made me stand there sniffing it for about 5 minutes! Anyway, when we visited the premium outlet centres, I was able to spend my dollars on discounted brand products.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit

When we visited the maal, my mum and I went into Macy’s which is a big department store, the equivalent to Debhenams in the UK. They had a deal on where they chose a few beauty products to discount. Luckily for me one of those items was the Anastasia Glow Kit reduced by 50%! I was so excited because, I love highlighting my face but never like to spend lots of money on one so when I came across this I just had to get it! It was $50.00 reduced to $25.00, equal to around £18.90, which is an amazing price! I have already used this and let me tell you, it does not disappoint! My favourite highlight so far has been the Amber Gold shade (in the middle on the bottom row). I have also used the White Sand shade, which is gorgeous as well, but I prefer the slightly pinky colour in the Amber Gold shade. The packaging of this highlight palette is also really cute! I also love the font used and the mirror in the palette. It’s just overall a really nice palette and would completely recommend to those of you who don’t mind spending a bit more money on a great highlighting palette.

Fitbit Flex 2
We were lucky enough to be staying in a villa that is a 5 minute walk away from a Super Target, which is basically a massive version of Tesco. It sells a huge variety of stuff from food to furniture to stationary. The prices were relatively cheap and I ended up buying an EOS lip balm from there for $1.59. Along with the lip balm, I also purchased a Fitbit Flex 2 as I had previously owned a Fitbit Flex 1, but lost it ages ago. So I decided to replace it with a Lavender Fitbit from America that cost me $59.99, which is equivalent to around £45.33, when compared to English prices that is a huge discount, so yay! Although I am not actually that sporty, I still find the Fitbit great as it tracks my steps and lets me know how many calories I have lost, making me more enthusiastic and determined to do more exercise and walking. You can connect it to an iPhone app which is useful, allowing you to track all your stats. It also tracks my sleep which is fab for me as I get lots of headaches so tracking my sleep has been so useful as I can see if my headaches are being affected by my sleep. All in all, I am really pleased with the Fitbit and hopefully this time I won’t lose it.

Fitbit Flex 2: Currys ~ £54.99

Calvin Klein Underwear
From the premium Outlet centre, I was able to purchase Clavin Klein Underwear which I was very excited about. I had wanted some for ages! I just think that even though no-one can see it underneath my clothes, it makes me feel hot! I love the way it feels as it is so comfortable. As you can see from the photo, I went with the classic grey bralette with some grey pants. The set is really adorable and the band around the underwear with the Calvin Klein logo on it, is so cute and does give me a little bit more support. The bralette has a racerback, so does look cute with open back tops. The bralette was $21.00 and the pants were $12.00 so overall I spent £24.96 on the whole ensemble. I am pretty sure that in England you would pay around £40.00 for a matching set, so I was able to get a pretty good deal on the underwear. This set is probably one of my favourite purchases from America as it is the comfiest underwear I have ever worn, I have been converted. Calvin Klein all the way! Not going to lie it is a bit dangerous, going to all these outlet shops as they encourage me to develop a taste for really expensive brands!

Calvin Klein Pants: Asos ~ £18.00

Nike Roshe Two
Finally, my family and I spent a lot of time looking in the Nike Outlet store as they had a large variety of trainers all discounted. I love Nike and have been converted to Nike trainers ever since I got my first pair of Roshes. I was very excited to find out that they had a store and that they had Roshe Two’s at a discounted price. They were $49.99, so in pounds that is £37.79 – again, an incredible price for a pair of Nike Roshes. They are black with black ticks and a white sole. I originally wanted a pair of Nike Roshes that were black with a white tick and a white sole however, I came across these and fell in love with them, so had to get them. It was so shocking though because, there were tonnes of people holding like 10 Nike boxes obviously stocking up on discounted shoes before they went back home. Next time I go to America I am definitely going to get more shoes.

Nike Roshe Two: Office ~ £50.00

And that’s my America Haul! I could have brought so much more, but had limited dollars so next time I will take a lot more dollars. I am really pleased with everything I got however, I do wish I had brought that candle from Bath and Bodyworks! I did also buy a vest top from Target, but it is in the wash so didn’t put it in the haul. If you have any questions or maybe you have been to America recently and got some great deals you can share, please let us know!
