The Travel Tag.

It summer! As in its officially summer for me, so I thought since the sun is officially out and the schools have broken up, I would do the Travel tag. I found this tag on a blog called Girls Wanderlust and I thought it was such a good idea, I had to give it a go. I love to travel so whats better on a summer evening than sitting down and reading a summer travel post?

Which countries in the world have you already visited?

I’ve been super lucky in the past and have been incredibly well traveled. In Europe I have been to the Uk (well I live in it), France, Spain, Germany, The Netherlands, The Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, Italy and Finland. I’ve also been to Turkey, Penang, Bali, Borneo, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Tunisia, Dubai, Qatar. And in America I’ve been to Florida. Apparently when I was a baby I also went to the Canary Islands, but I really don’t remember that – funnily enough.

Which destination is the number one of your bucket list?

Oh how can I pick one!? I love to travel and I have so many places on my bucket list, but if I had to pick just one I guess it would have to be Austrialia. Or China? Uh you know what I dont know. I love the far East so maybe it would be China then?

What is your ideal holiday?

I have to say my ideal Holiday is always to  apace I’ve never been before and would involve a mixture of chilling by the pool and exploring the local sights. I never understand those people who go somewhere and never ever leave the hotel! Whats the point? I love to explore the surrounding area, try some local food and maybe have a wonder down the beach? But if theres no beach I love going to wonder down old cobbled streets.

Which place did you think was so special that you would love to go back there sometime?

Oh gods easily Malaysia and Italy. I love Italy, because I adore the food and the little medieval style towns with the cobbled streets and olive groves. Its just beautiful, especially Tuscany. Malaysia is the total polar opposite, but I loved it when I went! I love the rustic-ness of the towns and villages. When we went we went to a coffee plantation and a tea farm and it was wonderful! Its where I found my favourite tea! Although I have to say I really hate monkeys so maybe Ill just stay clear of them when I go back to visit the beautiful temples…

Did you have to travel for work sometime? If yes, where?

I’ve never had to travel for work, other than my University study tour, but I would love to! Honestly a job in which I had o travel or a living sound like a dream to me. When I did have to go on my Study Tour, I went to Greece. We visited Athens, Thebes, Delphi, Olympia, Corinth and Nafplio, with many ancient sites in between.

With who do you mostly go on holiday with?

My family. although recently I have started going away on my own and with friends. Last summer I went inter railing with my university friends and this year I went on Study Tour with some of my university colleagues. And well Im now in America on my own, so I guess thins are changing a but. Actually saying that, my mum is coming to join me in September, so its still family.

With who would you like to go on a vacation with sometime?

Jenny! Jenny came on 2 holidays with my family, one to Spain and one to Italy and they were both amazing trip! I really hope we get to do a proper holiday one day just her and I. Im thinking Disneyland? (*hint hint*!!)

Would you rather go to an amusement park or a zoo?

Oh my gods! I love both of these although I do have a thing about zoo if they are purely profit based. If it was a conservation zoo, like Whipsnade or London Zoo, I would have to pick them. However, if its an abroad zoo (besides the Singapore nights zoo which is a winner every time), I would have to pick and amusement park! Ugh wait! What about Disneyland? Ah okay.

Disneyland, DisneyWorld and Universal, or theme parks of that like over Zoos.

Would you rather go on a ski or a sun vacation?

Sun! I loved my trip to Lapland (Fineland) last Christmas but I cant say I’d be great at Skiing. Sun is a clear winner for me im afraid.

What is your nicest holiday memory?

Oh my goodness, probably any disneyland holiday my dad took me on when I was a kid! They were always so very magical and I have the best memories f them. Although all my childhood holidays have amazing memories, especially my Florida trip.

What is your worst holiday memory?

Ugh thank the gods I only have one. But it was when our airline messed up our flights on the way back for Greece, we had to really quickly buy new flights and we were stranded in the airport over night. Literally worse night of my night…

To which country (countries) are you going on holiday this year?

Well I’ve already been to Greece and (obviously) America. I think I’m pretty good from here to be honest. I’ve been chatting with some friends about maybe going to Disneyland Paris over Christmas, although nothings booked. Im pretty happy with 4 months in America though.

Where would you never go on holiday?

There is probably not a single country that I would never go, although I would always stay clear of unsafe places for now, such as war ridden places such as Syria. But I would definitely visit when everything’s straightened out.

Thank you so much for reading. please pass the Travel tag along and post your links in the comments below, I would love to read them!
