In a few months time, Hana and I are embarking on a journey to Disneyland Paris. Hana mentioned in a blog post a few weeks ago, ‘Disneyland Paris Bucket List‘ that we booked to go to Disneyland for her 21st. I am so excited and cannot wait to go because it will be our first holiday alone together but also because it will be all things, Disney. However, I have had so many things to do that I have not really thought about yet so in order to motivate myself and get myself ready for June. I thought I would start by answering some questions for the Disney Tag so you can learn more about me and I can get excited about Disney.
This is a hard question as pretty much every Disney movie has at least one animal in. However, if I had to pick one, I would have to pick Dumbo. He has the sweetest face with the biggest ears and he just makes my heart melt every time I see him. Although I do find the film a little bit weird, the overall story is sweet and his little friend Timothy Mouse is funny too. I am looking forward to seeing the new Dumbo which comes out in cinemas this month. I hope Dumbo is just as cute.
Again, this is very hard as there are so many films to choose from. Although, after much consideration, I have picked Mowgli because I find Mowgli a very interesting character on so many levels. I love the interactions between Mowgli and the animals such as Baloo and Bagheera. Furthermore, the actual story of the Jungle Book I really enjoy along with all the catchy songs. I also really like the real-life adaptation of the Jungle Book however, I prefer the animated one as you cannot beat a good classic.
My favourite classic is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The whole thing is amazing. You have the catchy working that the dwarfs sing as they mine to the classic scene when they introduce themselves to Snow White. I still cannot believe this film came out in 1937, its 82 years old! Another thing I love about this film is that it appeals to both boys and girls as it is such a classic. I remember having a Snow White dress when I was younger and my younger brothers also wearing it to parade around the house in.
My favourite heroine is Moana. She is brave, strong, courageous, everything I admire in a heroine. She goes on a quest to save her family and her island and brave the seas that are seen as dangerous. She conquers all to save those that she loves and I love that message. It inspires me to be courageous and to remind me to put my family above myself. Plus, the songs she sings are very addictive and when I hear them once they are hard to stop singing.
Favourite Love Song
When I was typing this question the first song that came to my mind was Frozen’s ‘Love is an Open Door’ which although is a good song would not be my chosen favourite love song. I think my favourite has to be from the Lion King ‘Can you feel the love tonight’. What a beautiful song. It’s such a lovely sweet song and the scene in the Lion King when they play it over the river is so romantic and cute.
Ok, so this might seem a bit weird as earlier I said that my favourite classic film was Snow White however, my favourite Princess is actually Ariel. I like how her story is slightly different as she is a mermaid but turns into a human for love. I like how she has to try and get the Prince to love her without no voice as well plus her hair is just so lush. I also really like The Little Mermaid 2 and the story with her daughter and how the roles are reversed and she wants to be a mermaid.
How do you choose a favourite song when there are so many different songs to choose from? This is so hard but I think I would have to choose ‘I see the light’ from Tangled. What a gorgeous song and a wonderful scene from the film. I love how they are on a boat on a lake and they see all the lanterns rise. This could be a bias opinion though as Tangled is my favourite all time Disney movie.
I love this quote from the Hunchback of Notre Dame ‘If watching is all you’re gonna do, then you’re gonna watch your life go by without ya.’ This quote is so beautiful and reminds me that if you want your dreams to come true you have to go out there and
My favourite villain is Cruella De Vil. Not only is her style very fitting to her role but the way she looks and the way she acts just overall roles into one big cruel villain. I remember I used to be freaked out by Cruella De Vil and scared that she would take the puppies away from their parents. It probably does not help that I love dogs so the thought of them being caught was terrifying.
Favourite Underrated Movie
My favourite underrated movie would be ‘The fox and the hound’. This is such a good film about the friendship between a fox and a hound and I think it deserves a lot more credit then it gets. Although, I do have to warn you that when I was younger I did find it quite scary which is maybe why people only watch it a few times and then never again. I have not seen this film in ages but I really want to because I remember really liking it apart from all the scary bits. So I would definitely recommend giving it a watch if you have not already.
So that concludes all the Disney Tag questions. It was so much fun answering all these questions and looking through all the old Disney movies that have been made. I hope you enjoyed reading this tag and please let me know your answers to these questions as I would love to know what you think.
